War on Want Northern Ireland — Fighting World PovertyWar on Want NI has a rolling programme of awareness raising activities, highlighting the causes of poverty through the media and providing presentations to interested groups across Northern Ireland. In 2008 over 8,000 people directly participated in War on Want NI’s awareness raising programme.
War on Want NI provides presentations and facilitates discussions on the themes of International Development, Fairtrade, International Development and The Media, and general presentations on the work of War on Want NI.
In return for a presentation, War on Want NI requests that each group takes part in assisting to raise funds to support the programmes featured.
